Library System Council: SLS Member Plans

Rockland BOCES School Library System Member Plans

At least once in a 5-year cycle, each member of the school library system will send a member plan to the school library system. Member plans should show how member libraries are meeting the needs of the learning communities they serve as well as how they plan to use resources provided by the school library system. Plans must include:

  • description of library services and resources
  • communication procedures between school librarians and within school communities
  • means of reporting participation in system services to the member's governing body and administration
  • assurance the library media program is adequately staffed and administered in the member's school district or nonpublic school.

In the Rockland BOCES School Library System, member plan information is collected as part of the Rockland BOCES School Library System Annual Survey.
